Condition: wrapper reglued, light creasing to edges. rare concise and well-illustrated survey of engraving, etching and lithography in the western culture. The treatise goes from fifteeth-century woodcuts to wood engraving by Félix Vallotton. The only reproduced in the book is Masiutin himself. [With:] SIDOROV, Aleksei Alekseevich (1891-1978). Original linocut gray wrappers designed by Aleksei Ilych Kravchenko. Condition: light toning to upper margin of front wrapper, backstrip tanned with small splits and chips to extremities. One of 3000 copies. With graphics by Natan Altman, Iurii Annenkov, Alexandre Benois, Marc Chagall. Sergei Chekhonin, Mstislav Dobuzhinsky, Boris Grigorev, Wassily Kandinsky, Boris Kustodiev, Vasilii Masiutin, Dmitri Mitrokhin, Olga Rozanova and many others.
