REMIZOV, Aleksei Mikhailovich (1877-1957). Posolon [Sunward]. Moscow: "Zolotoe Runo," 1907. 82 pp., tall 8vo (285 x 165 mm). Decorations by the author. Original decorated wrappers designed by Remizov. Condition: wrappers thumbsoiled, rebacked with repairs to upper margin of back wrapper. first edition of the author's first book. Remizov wrote these skazki or fairy tales for his little daughter Natasha and dedicated the book to the Symbolist poet Vyacheslav Ivanov. "They were written in a style so recherché that an eighteen-page glossary had to appended to the book, as if it were a book of ethnography" (Tarkusin, Stravinsky and the Russian Traditions, p. 572).
