Condition: wrappers repaired at backstrip, short closed tear on front wrapper with tape repair to verso. unrecorded cover designed by rodchenko. One of 10,000 copies. This technical manual, originally the three-volumed Die Schule des Lokomotivführers (1909-1914), went through 14 printings in Germany before being translated into Russian. It provides a history as well as technical specifications of steam locomotive trains and a discussion of mechanics and thermodynamics. Not in MoMA, Getty, BM or NYPL.
