A letterpress, engraved and manuscript commission, signed by Catherine the Great, awarding "Mitrofan Balavinskii, who has served in our navy battalions since 1771, the title of Lieutenant Colonel." Dated "7 June 1778." Letterpress and engraved document on vellum (sheet size: 370 x 450 mm). Signed "Ekaterina" with imperial seal. Condition: old fold, seal defective.
