Publisher's green morocco over mottled boards, spine lettered in gilt and black, three raised bands Condition: spine faded to brown, board edges rubbed, corners bumped, light occasional spotting. presentation copy to an unidentified baron. An authorized account of the conditions and events that led up to the death of Tsar Alexandr I and the coronation of Nicholas I. The book was "compiled, by special command of the Emperor Alexander II, by His Imperial Majesty's Secretary of State, Baron M. Korff." English , French and German translations appeared in 1857.
