SHTERNBERG, Abram (1894-1979). Deti v sssr [Children in the USSR]. Prague, 1933. Hand-made album of 12 vintage photographs mounted on card and bound by string with photocollage front cover (249 x 349 mm). Condition: boards slightly discolored, minor soiling, corners bumped and frayed, four card mounts with small pencil marks. Provenance: Prague University stamp on verso of front cover. charming hand-made album of vintage soiuz photographs of young soviet children. Shternberg was a respected portrait photographer who belonged to the Octyabr or October association of experimental photographers. He worked within the heroic Constructivist manner of Aleksandr Rodchenko.
