Groundbreaking lot features Department of the Interior United States Geological Survey's maps of the moon. Approximate scale is 1:3,800,000. This is the FIRST EVER ATTEMPT at serious geologic mapping the Moon. When Pres. Kennedy made his speech to Congress May 25, 1961, this map of the near side of the moon followed later that fall. Contains 4 sheets. Very good condition.
