#10 cover carried on flight of Silver Fox during its attempted Trans-Atlantic flight. Unfortunately, balloon came down in Atlantic and crew was rescued by German ship M/S Elisabeth Bolten. Canceled. Overall cacheted cover is canceled with a Milbridge, MA, Oct 5th launch cancel. Cachet notes balloon came down on Oct. 10 after covering a distance of 2,475 miles. Cover is autographed by Ed Yost. Unaddressed. Scarce and attractive.
