'This report represents the results of the first phase of the Nova Launch Facility Study conducted by Martin-Marietta Corporation, Denver Division.' The JFK national goal for lunar landing before 1970 prevented the NOVA design from being used because it would not be ready in time, so the Saturn family was selected instead. What is interesting about this particular study is the initial proposal of NOVA for Manned Mars Mission (MMM). Rare.
