Rare Viking Lander Thruster Nozzle. This is a de-orbit monopropellant hydrazine thruster nozzle precision machined out of a single piece of rhodium plated white metal. Nozzle is geometrically perfect & sustains a bell-like tone when tapped with a fingernail. There were 12 of these 3.5x1.5" de-orbit thrusters mounted in quad clusters on the lander. This is a 'flight-spare' acquired by the consignor from worker for a contractor on the program. A very rare & significant artifact from the Mars Viking program. Pristine. "
