Staple-bound with heavy grey paper covers, this 8"X10"½" 14pp. booklet from Department of Defense has the following on front cover: 'PRESIDENTIAL VISIT'/NASA/DOD/CAPE CANAVERAL/September 11, 1962' with Presidential Seal in center. Half the pages are text, remainder are diagrams of the presidential route, briefing room layouts, airport diagrams, etc. All are related to security for the President and Vice-President during their visit, tour & briefing at the Cape. We have never seen this publication before, it is a great piece of history, tying together Kennedy and the space program. One day later, on Sept. 12, Kennedy gave his famous speech at Rice University. Very fine.
