Two-page ALS by the first Duke of Wellington dated 1819 requesting permission to accept an award by the King of Saxony to Lt. Col Freemantle. ALSO included in lot are a Wellington Free Frank and two letters related to Wellington, one dated July 29, 1815, with details about Napoleon and reasons not to exile him to St. Helena! In addition there are other notes & letters. Ideal for the historian or researcher. There are two transcriptions of Wellington's ALS, Generally fine condition. (2008 PSA/DNA COA)
