An interesting item. This signature of President Hayes is part of a note card that has a personalization on the back. Hayes signature is underneath a written quote One Country, One Constitution, One Destiny", presumably also scribed by Hayes; it is dated July 20th, 1877, only a couple months after the disputed 1876 election was finally settled. On the back, there is correspondence 'To Mary', 'From Maggie', dated Christmas Day 1879. (2008 PSA/DNA COA #H51118) "
