An 11"X14" gelatin silver double-weight photograph of acting legend Joan Crawford, by MGM photographer George Hurrell. Date above Hurrell's stamp indicates this was taken in June 1936, meaning this shot was likely during her filming of 'The Gorgeous Hussy', as her antebellum attire would indicate. Miniscule remainders of the original snipe are visible on back. Photo is Fine to Very Fine, with flaws being creased corners. Crawford appears very youthful in the historical role of Peggy Eaton, who was central to a scandal that rocked the Jackson administration. Very fetching!
