An unusual pair of Trial Currency Notes. Crisp, uncirculated. This type of printing was performed to test newly engraved plates or new printing presses. They were first used in 1950s in Germany on Giori Presses which are now quite rare and hard to find. This pair is from a new trial plate used when a New York firm ran an inspection trial for the Bureau of Engraving & Printing in the 1970's.
