1943-49 M.P.& CO. (R302-1 & R302-2) CARDS

Fifty-six (56) baseball cards from the two M.P.& Company strip card sets (ACC code R302), one released during 1943 and the other in 1949. These cards were sold inexpensively as strips, usually in candy machines, and are one of the very few sets issued during World War II. Several Hall-of-Famers and several duplicates found here, almost universally in Good to Very Good condition (mostly age wear, not many creases). The HOFers found here include: Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams (x3!), Ralph Kiner (x2), Bob Lemon (x2), Lou Boudreau (x6!), Bob Feller (x3), Pee Wee Reese (x2), Mel Ott, Bill Dickey and Hank Greenberg. A crude but certainly interesting selection of cards.
