An ONL (Fricke) team-signed baseball from the 1946 World Champion St Louis Cardinals. This team took the first of three World Series matchups in franchise history against the Boston Red Sox, four games to three. This was one of those great 1940s Redbird teams of Musial, Slaughter, Schoendienst, etc. This ball includes the following signatures, mostly in blue ballpoint: Stan Musial (HOF), Enos Slaughter (HOF), Red Schoendienst (HOF), Eddie Dyer (manager), Marty Marion, Harry Walker (sweet spot), Terry Moore, Murray Dickson, Whitey Kurowski, Joe Garagiola, Harry Brecheen, Dick Sisler, Al Brazle, Del Rice (sweet spot), Howie Pollet (upside down on sweet spot), Buster Adams, Ken Burkhart, Jeff Cross, Erv Dusak, Ted Wilks, Red Barnett, Johnny Beazley, Red Munger (as George), plus one unidentifiable. Signatures moderately faded, ball's signatures rate about a four or five and the ball itself a bit higher (toned, but not worn). Some one has inscribed '1946 WS' next to the Fricke stamp.
