This ONL Fricke baseball hand-signed by many of the 1950 Brooklyn Dodgers team. Although the Dodgers would finish second to the 'Whiz Kids' Phillies team for the pennant, this was a franchise in the midst of their greatest winning stretch; they would win the pennant six times between 1947 and 1956, mostly with players found on this baseball. On the sweet-spot is a clubhouse signature of manager Burt Shotton. Other visible signatures include: Roy Campanella (HOF), Gil Hodges, Preacher Roe, Ralph Branca, Carl Erskine, Carl Furillo, Wayne Berlarde, Ed Miksis, Chris Van Cuyk, Cal Abrams, Bob Morgan, Joe Hatten and Rex Barney. Several clubhouse signatures on this ball besides Shotton: Billy Loes, Jackie Robinson, Pee Wee Reese, Don Newcombe, Billy Cox, Duke Snider and Jim Russell. Ball toned with discolorations, possibly game-used. A relatively inexpensive way to obtain vintage Campanella and Hodges autographs found with this lot. (2008 PSA/DNA COA for non-CH signatures)
