A team-signed ONL (Giles) baseball from the 1970 St. Louis Cardinals. This particular squad would finish 81-81, beginning a decade of mediocrity that would not be resolved until the advent of 'Whiteyball' in the '80s. The sweet-spot carries two Hall-of-Famers, manager Red Schoendienst and lefty fireballer Steve Carlton. 21 signatures in all, including these players: Dick Allen, Joe Torre, Sal Campisi, Chuck Taylor, coach George Kissell, Jose Cardinal, Bart Zeller, Joe Hague, Milt Ramirez, Mike Shannon, Dal Maxvill, Vic Davalillo, Mike Torrez, Phil Gagliano, Nellie Briles, Leron Lee, Cookie Rojas, Bob Millikin and one illegible on the Spalding stamp. Ball about '6' or '7' in condition, with signatures also of that quality. Notable (and unfortunate) absences from this ball: Lou Brock, Bob Gibson and Julian Javier. Great baseball to add to your Cardinal collection. (2008 PSA/DNA COA)
