1916-17 T82 SERIES OF MOVIE STARS PARTIAL SET

27 tobacco cards with color lithographs of silent film stars of the 1910s, American Card Catalog code T82 series, known as 'Series of Movie Stars'. All 27 have 'Recruit Little Cigar' backs. Backs also have short biographies of each actor or actress. This group has many big stars of the era including William S. Hart, Clara Kimball Young, James Cruze, Harold Lockwood, Mae Marsh, Edith Storey, Grace Cunard and more. Notable absences include the Gish sisters and Douglas Fairbanks. The cards themselves are in VG to EX condition, with only a handful with creases most notably Hart and Hobart Bosworth, who have major creases across their faces. Otherwise, most are blemish-free and still contain much if not all of their original gloss. Nice grouping of tobacco cards for the silent movie memorabilia collector.
