1938 PLAYER'S CIGARETTE CARDS: FILM STARS 3RD SET

An Excellent to Near-Mint complete set of British cigarette cards depicting film stars of the 1930s. This Golden Age of Hollywood grouping of 50 actors and actresses includes many of the greats: Fred Astaire, Gary Cooper, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Errol Flynn, Laurence Olivier, Jimmy Stewart, Spencer Tracy, and many more. Each card depicts a portrait on the front and a short biography on the back. These cards are inside a plexiglass frame; they have been inserted within a card shape cut-out of the matting, allowing the reverse side of the cards to be visible on the back. The corners and colors of these cards are outstanding. Their only flaws are that some appear to be slightly warped within the frame upon close inspection. Nonetheless, a beautiful framed set to be had. Not responsible for any broken glass in shipping, local pickup in Beverly Hills or St. Louis is recommended.
