1897, Engraved Portrait of George Washington, Signed by Albert Rosenthal, After a Miniature by John Ramage, Printed by E. Opitz, Philadelphia, PA, Choice Extremely Fine.
Hand-colored 3" x 2" die-sunk print on large sheet, 14" x 11", with a red-inked 1" engraving of the 1789 miniature by Ramage, "in the possession of Mrs. Moses S. Beach." Signed "Albert Rosenthal" in pencil. Oval portrait of Washington in uniform with blue, gold, green, and pink highlights. Penciled notations: "No. 15" and "H 211a." A list of 20 subscribers are printed on a tissue overlay in the lower right corner of the large sheet. An excellent example!
