1863 Union Navy "Transfer of Accounts" September, 9, 1863, Circular from the Navy Department regarding transferring accounts, Choice Mint. Signed in print by Gideon Welles, Secretary of the Navy, 7.25" x 5.25" A notice to all men "transferred from a naval station or receiving ship to a Squadron," that "their accounts will be sent to the Paymaster of the Flagship," until the men are transferred to the vessels in which they are to serve.
