Political
Political Cartoon Of Cupid Launching Tariff Reform Ship

1894, Hand-Colored, Double Page Political Cartoon, "Launched At Last - Good Luck To Her," Referring to Tariff Reform, Drawn by C. J. Taylor, Choice Extremely Fine.
This colorful, original, turn-of-the-century Political Cartoon, was almost certainly published in the famous New York political magazine, "Puck." The scene shows a cupid christening a ship with a bottle of champagne. The ship's flag reads "Tariff Reform." In the background is an old fashioned ship at anchor labeled "McKinley Tariff." The size of this print is approximately 18.5" x 12" (with matte 20" x 13.5"). The title and printer's name (J. Ottmann Lith. Co.) are at the bottom, hidden by the matting. This print is in excellent condition, with one fold across the center and a couple staple holes where it was bound into the magazine. A delightful American Political Cartoon in vertical format, ready to be framed and displayed.

Early American will accept payment by check or credit card.
