Lot includes: (2) different Patriotic Covers (Columbus and Revolutionary War) plus (1) "Sons of Temperance" cover, (3 items) unused, Near Mint.
This lot consists of a cover showing Columbus (judging from his clothing) holding a flag labeled "Excelsior," with a waterfall in the background, measuring 3" x 5.5," and in excellent condition. Also a cover measuring 3.25" x 5.75," showing a Revolutionary War soldier, advancing with fixed bayonet, in front of an American flag. This cover has old mounting remnants on the back. And finally, a small cover, measuring 3" x 5.5," printed in black on yellow paper, which shows a star inside a triangle, with rays in the background, below which is printed "Sons Of Temperance." The Sons of Temperance was an anti-liquor society organized in 1842. This cover is missing its back flap, has some light mounting remnants on the back, and otherwise is in great shape. (3 items).
