1904 Stereocard of "Herd of Buffaloes,"by H.C. White Co., North Bennington, VT, Very Fine.
#12026, part of "The 'Perfec' Stereograph" Series, featuring black and white photos of buffalo in the wild, with detailed historical information printed on the back. Slight age-tone to images, and minor wear and soiling. Measuring 3.5" x 7", cards such as these are referred to as "stereo" because they have duplicate views on each card. A special stereoscope was used to view the cards which gave a perception of depth--a precursor to 3-D viewers of today.
