"FEZZAE ET MAROCCHI REGNA AFRICAE CELEBERRIMA," [Map of Morocco], by Ortelius, Fine.
This is a large map, hand-colored in outline, with a large cartouche with two horned satyrs. Other illustrations include sailing shops, settlements and mosques, and mountain ranges. Other features are quite recognizable: the Strait of Gibraltar, the entrance to the Mediterranian Sea, and part of the Spanish peninsula. The map measures 15" x 19.5" plus margins, and is affixed to an art board for stabilization. This toned map is still quite impressive and suitable for framing and display.
