Continental Congress. September 26, 1778. Fifty Dollars. Contemporary Counterfeit. PMG graded About Uncirculated-55.
A scarce, Contemporary Counterfeit that was produced by the British in an effort to destroy the American economy, one which was highly based upon trust and faith in accepting Paper Money. Three Native American Indian "Arrows" are seen within the central reverse vignette. A crisp, very clean note that appears to be conservatively graded as there are no folds or major detractions seen.
