New York Currency
Exceedingly Rare April 18, 1786 New York Issue

State of New York. April 18, 1786. One Pound. "Excelsior" with New York Arms vignette. Hole Cancel. PASS-CO graded Very Fine-35 SPQR.
This impressive uniface note "Printed by S. Loudon" which has bold black print on clean white laid paper. It has four full, large margins, which provide ample framing of the text and designs. The date "April, 1786" is sharp and the brown signatures of "Evert Ban(cker)" and "H.(enry) Remsen" are strong. The New York Arms vignette at the right side is very sharp and distinct. There is a short early notation on the blank reverse, "John Oakly Huntington Collection" and trivial expertly sealed edge splits. An Exceedingly Rare issue, lacking in most, even advanced New York Currency collections and one of the Finest examples existent.

Early American will accept payment by check or credit card.
