Pennsylvania Currency
The Finest Certified By PMG 1775 "Lighthouse" Issue

Pennsylvania. March 25, 1775. Four Shillings. Plate A. "Lighthouse" Issue. PMG graded About Uncirculated-50.
This impressive, crisp note has great eye appeal, centering and print quality. It is hard to determine why it was so conservatively graded as only AU-50 as this cataloger sees no folds and it has the appearance of a Choice CU. We suggest a personal examination of this note to attain a full appreciation of its excellent, crisp eye appeal. The Lighthouse and Sailing Ships vignette on the reverse is very sharp and distinct. According to the PMG population report, that firm has only certified two notes, one graded a lower EF-40 with this AU-50 the Finest Recorded as Certified.
