Advertising Notes
Five Percent United States Bond Styled "Advertising" Note

c. 1860. The United States Novelty Advertising Company. Five Percent Bond Note. Choice Extremely Fine.
This Undated advertising note for a concert at the Cross Street A.M.E. Church. An interesting bond format as opposed to the usually-seen denominated pieces. Printed in green, red, and black. An anecdote on the reverse reads, "A fashionable wedding now costs from $1,800 to $3,500. It is said that a Wall street broker, not willing to spend such sums, got a friend to put up his intended son-in-law to elope with his daughter - on the score of economy."

Early American will accept payment by check or credit card.
