Condition: head of spine detached, upper joint cracked along head and foot. first edition; a clean large-paper copy. With his Chronology, Newton sought to accurately date the ancient kingdoms of Greece, Egypt, the Baybylonians and others using his astronomical methods. The three plates are devoted to the interior of Solomon's Temple. Although Newton died in 1727 before the publication of this work, he had been interested and worked on the subject all his life.
