Gorinchem: Nicolas Goetzee, 1748. Large folio (465 x 290 mm). 62 double-page engraved plates including the map of Jerusalem. Contemporary calf stamped "T. W. Spruit'Fecit," decoratively panelled in gilt, spine tooled and lettered in gilt with 8 raised bands, gilt turn-ins, marbled edges. Condition: title page creased; footband detached, joints cracked.. a fine copy of the states general bible with strong impressions of the plates. The verso of the title page of this copy has the printed imprimatur signed in 1746. Cf Darlow & Moule 3350.
