Condition: suggestion of wear at tips of corners, contemporary gift inscription (1957) to free endpaper; closed tears to upper corner of rear panel and upper edge of front flap professionally backed with tissue on verso, minor creasing to front fold thought with almost no color loss, tiny chip from blue band on rear panel, a very handsome copy. first edition of the cornerstone of beat literature and a key book post-war american fiction.
