Cologne: Jean-Frederic Motierns, 1761. 12mo (164 x 100 mm). Modern leather. first edition. This scarce biography of the first Bishop of Quebec (1623-1708) contains much useful information about the late 17th century history of the region. Although the terminal leaf indicates this to be the end of the first volume, only one was published. We could find no copy appearing at auction since the Streeter Sale.
