CATLIN, George. North American Indians being letters and notes on their manners, customs, and conditions, written during eight years' travel amongst the wildest tribes of Indians in North America, 1832-1839.
Edinburgh: John Grant, 1926. 2 volumes, 8vo (250 x 160 mm). 313 color-printed plates on 180 sheets, including 3 maps (1 folding). Publisher's original red cloth, elaborately blocked in gilt and black on the upper covers and spines, t.e.g. others uncut. Condition: corners a bit bumped. A lovely set of the John Grant edition of Catlin's Letter & Notes, in its original decorative binding generally found in poor condition. Howes C241; Wagner-Camp 84.
