That process began shortly after the Revolution, but would not be concluded until the Missouri Compromise of 1820. This pamphlet, printed by Maine's first printer, discusses the reasons for the separation and reviews questions of public lands, the judiciary, economics, etc. rare, with no copies cited in American Book Prices Current for the last quarter century.
