Sid Vicious The iconic Rabbit padlock and chain worn by Sid Vicious. The rabbit padlock chain defined Sid's image and consequently became an established punk accessory The thick choke style chain has the padlock links cut (whenever Sid was arrested, the chain was cut from his neck) prior to imprisomentt. It is well documented that Sid owned at least three of these rabbit padlocks and chains in his time. One was given to him by Chrissie Hynde of Pretenders fame, Keith Levine and Nancy Spungeon also gave Sid the other two. Picture evidence also shows Sid wearing a Rabbit lock on the fly of his jean and of course his girlfriend Nancy Spungeon also had a Rabbit lock and chain of her own which can be seen around her neck in the film "The Filth and the Fury' This particular lock and chain has been identified by Alan Parker, punk archivist and author as being the exact chain that he was shown whilst visiting Anne Beverly (Sid's other) when she commissioned him to document Sid's life. In nearly every instance either in photographic image film or poster, Sid can be seen wearing this signature chain. The chain is accompanied by a letter from Alan Parker verifying the authenticity of the chain and padlock.
