First Czech Edition.Rare Czech edition of Blaise Cendrar's Gold [i.e. L'Or], a novel about Johann Augustus Sutter, with illustrations by the noted expatriate Czech artist Josef Sima. The attractive Czech binding is dated 1926. There is the ink name of Blaise Cendrars on the half-title, but it is not thought to be the author's signature.
