oil on canvas. Cavallon (B.1904-D.1989) was born in Italy but is considered an American artist. Between the years of 1926-1936 he studied at the National Academy of Design, with Charles W. Hawthone, and at the Hans Hoffman School of Fine
Arts. Cavallon was also a founding member of the American Abstract Artists organization. His style is typified by an atmospheric sense of light. This painting was purchased in November 1983 from Gruenebaum Gallery in New York. 71.5"H x 83.75"W,
