37th U.S. President. Due to the Watergate Scandal, Nixon became the first and only U.S. President to resign from office. Signed souvenir copy of Nixon's Resignation as President of the United States. Though not the original Resignation letter, it is an exact replica signed by Nixon himself. On Replica "The White House, Washington" letterhead. 1page in blue ink, small quarto, dated August 9, 1974, addressed to Henry Kissinger. In full: "Dear Mr. Secretary: I hereby resign the Office of President of the United States. Sincerely" Signed by Nixon in full: "Richard Nixon." One mail fold in the white area below the signature and the text , overall very clean and attractive. In excellent condition.
