"Stunning, vibrant yellow, vintage Venetian Glass Wedding Cake bead necklace. Made famous in Venice, wedding cake beads are a type of lampwork bead. They look like little cakes with “icing” of swirls, dots, flowers and aventurine, which consists of metallic bits, usually copper, to give it sparkle. This incredible bright yellow necklace measures a full 26 inches when opened and the pink rose and gold trim detailing is gorgeous. The weight lets you know that these are vintage, quality glass beads with hand knotted detail between each bead. Inside the Jewelry Box Volume 2 2007 by Ann Mitchell Pitman pg. 51 ... includes certificate that this lot came from the Estate of Louise Mondani Graham, owner of the Brass Bugle Antique Barn in Cornwall Bridge CT."
