"Absolutely gorgeous, all original, 4 strand cherry amber translucent bakelite necklace. Rich & Beautiful, hand knotted between each bead with a knotted closure. It does test positive for Bakelite and looks Exactly Like True Cherry Amber. c. 1930s. Large and clunky as bakelite should be, this is truly one of the most impressive bakelite necklaces we have seen with a total of 88 beads. We love the translucent characteristic Beauty (see through) of this, and when the light hits the beads just right they Glow with Magnificent Cherry Brilliance. When they are not held up to the light they are a deep, rich wine color. Condition...The wrapped cord has some wear and should be rewrapped, the beads are all perfect, yet even with all of that said, this is a very Rare & Astonishingly Stunning Vintage Necklace in Exceptional Condition.
