Sign In to see what this sold for

"The jewelers of the Art Nouveau period (1890 to 1910) were masters at creating small, life-like flowers in enamel and gold. This diminutive brooch is a wonderful example with a natural pearl set in the center of an enameled orchid with pink and cream petals and green leaves. Krementz was one of the premier makers of Art Nouveau jewels in the United States. One of their hallmarks was the use of pastel enamels, like the soft pinks, creams and greens along the petals and leaves of our brooch The back retains the original pinstem and clasp marked 14K and with the hallmark for Krementz & Company - a stylized cuff or collar button. Krementz was founded in 1866 and made many wonderful enamel flower jewels during the late Victorian and Art Nouveau periods.Origin: America, ca. 1900. Condition: excellent, no enamel damage, all original. Size: 1.25” x .75”. Antique Trader Jewelry Price Guide 2nd Edition 2007Kovels Jewelry 2003 ... includes certificate that this lot came from the Estate of Louise Mondani Graham, owner of the Brass Bugle Antique Barn in Cornwall Bridge CT."
