EARLY 19th C. SMALL NEW ENGLAND BENTWOOD PANTRY B

Sign In to see what this sold for

This is a 19th C. Small New England Pantry Box measuring only 4" diameter and 1 3/4" tall. There are no cracks or splits, the lid has a small chip near the nail at the seam . The lid and base still fit nice and tight (this was used to store allspice at one time and still maintains a faint aroma of the spice), clean interior, medium wood stock, and entire outside of the box has oxidized and darkened nicely from age, dust and dirt. This is a wonderful small, all original New England pantry box. Filled with old military brass and gold top buttons and vintage sewing odds and ends, we have it left as found. ... includes certificate that this lot came from the Estate of Louise Mondani Graham, owner of the Brass Bugle Antique Barn in Cornwall Bridge CT.
