Kiluea With Plumeria Tree; Watercolor by John Boyce; Size: 40"x60"; John Boyce is an internationally established artist whose work spans more than 40 years. Boyce has made art objects including drawings, lithographs, etchings, watercolors. acrylic and oil paintings, bronze sculptures, free standing monuments, art in architectural settings and public places. Boyce has also produced written work of 3 screenplays, 2 novels, poetry, essays and short stories. Concurrently Boyce has produced 2 feature films, 8 animation films, and hundreds of hours of digital videos of the Los Angeles music scene. Boyce's artwork has been exhibited publicly and privately in Paris, Amsterdam, Munich, Berlin, London, Dublin, Montreal, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Puerto Vallarta, Honolulu, Tahiti, Manila, Singapore, Melbourne and host of other places. He has had more than 20 one man shows including Otis Art Institute; Scripps College, Claremont California, Greer Gallery, New York; Atelier Gordon, Librarie Galaxie, Paris; Monastery Printshop, Manila; The American Tokyo Club, Winkler Gallery, Tahiti; and The Artist Gallery, Honolulu, to name a few. Collectors of his work include Kate Stein, Jouh Avildsen, New York, Richard Bach, John Rechy, Los Angeles, Joh Balson, Gerard Lanvin, Gerasimo Luca, Paris, Dominick Dunne, David and Keith Carradine and many more. He has studied at the University of Kansas, Belle Artes, Panama, Otis Art Institute, Pasadena College, Art Student's League New York, and the American Film Institute in Los Angeles. Teachers, collaborators, and critics include Juan Sedueno (University of Panama), Marcel Salinas (Atelier Gordon, Paris), José Decreeft, (Sculptor, Isle of Majorca), Marianne Greenwood (Picasso Musée Antibes), Anais Nin (Silverlake), Robert Boyle and Henry Bumstead (Production Design in Los Angeles), Dr. T.E. Greene (Scripps College), Millard Sheets (Los Angeles).
