In part: " I started keeping a work journal ... in 1956 ... perhaps because the Ten Commandments was finished as my son had just had his first birthday... here we are twenty years later...journals have taught me a lot, mainly about myself, but also about makeup and scripts and shooting schedules and leading ladies and studio heads..."
