Created in 1985, this original acrylic on canvas contains a guaranteed authentic signature by Yvaral in black in the lower center of the work. Additionally on the reverse: signature, title, date, and Yvaral code number appear in black by Yvaral himself.
Appearing to jump off the page, a grid of perfect circles encompasses the entire canvas with an optical effect that captures the viewer's attention, and combines to create the portrait of a stately and cheerful woman. The transition of pale orange to deep burnt umber adds to the sense of volume and space in this piece. Yvaral's work is best known for the gridded effects he creates that break up an image or become the entire image itself as seen with this work. His use of strategic color placement plays tricks on our eye as our focus moves from one area of the painting to the next. The large scale of the work causes the viewer to be completely encompassed in the image, exhibiting the artist's mastery of skill and technique in making works that are extremely engaging and impressive.

About the Framing:
Conservation framed in the original Yvaral wood frame with stone gray finish. The Frame was designed to perfectly compliment the canvas, and in many ways, the frame is an element of the artwork itself. The piece is framed so that all markings on the verso are visible.
