Large detailed figural thistle with maker's mark of EHS for Edward H. Stockwell, plus two other unclear marks underside of the pierced grill. Faint retailers mark of H. Lewis at top rim, circa 3rd quarter 19th century. For an identical example attributed to Stockwell, see Eric Delieb, INVESTING IN SILVER, London, 1967, p.106. Measures 3 3 /4 x 2 inches.
