A beautiful example comprised of two ornaments and an urn-form hinged-top vinaigrette vessel. The chatelaine is an enamel waist clip with an enameled figural bird hanger flanked by lion's heads and a floral garland below. The wire clip is stamped with the marks LP (LUDWIG POLLITZER the Vienna enamel works?) plus A and another A. Each soldered jump ring on the clip is marked LP. Each ornament is suspended from a 2 inch chain with oval ring stamped LP. The vinaigrette hangs on chain that connects to soldered rings marked A that are held in the hands of side mount cherubs with enamel decoration. The enameled vinaigrette is decorated with courting couples in a landscape, its top is hinged and opens to reveal a slightly domed and simply punched vinaigrette cover. Measurements of 5 1/2 x 3 inches.

Excellent, complete, tight clasp and hinge, no damage or abuse, no repair detected.
